Springtime at the marsh

I've been visiting the local marsh the last few days.  There are lots of migrating birds this time of year.  Right now, I'm seeing blue wing teal, shovelers, and a lot of American coots.  They stayed out a little too far for pictures, however.  But by being patient, I managed to get a couple of images of shore birds.

Nikon D300 200-400mm 1/250 @ f/5.6This killdeer also wandered in.  Just by "hiding" behind the tripod and keeping still, I was able to get close to otherwise wary birds.  I'll be visiting the marsh again soon.
